The method of applying Moom, our main sugaring product, is described below:-
Before you begin 'Mooming' wash and dry skin completely to remove any oils, makeup or lotions. Dry the area thoroughly. This is all the preparation that is needed!
You can warm Moom in two ways: either in the microwave (10 second intervals) or in warm water, until it is just warm enough ie. like runny honey. Take care to never allow any water to enter Moom as this will destroy the product.
Following the direction of the hair apply a paper thin layer of Moom. Using the edge of a spatula
or applicator thin out the layer. Place a Moom fabric strip on top. leaving 5cm at the end of the strip free for a firm grip. Rub your hand over the entire length of the strip rapdly 3 times to adhere it well to Moom.
Holding the skin taught with one hand, zip off the strip quickly in the opposite dirction to the hair growth, keeping it close and parallel to the skin as possible. Pull fast for the best results.
If you are a first time user some skin sensitivity may occur which will decrease with subsequent use as the hairs weaken. If you notice some growth soon after using Moom, these are simply the hairs which were below the skins surfaceor too short to remove. With continued use, regrowth will weaken and eventually the area will require less Mooming.
Some companies refer to sugaring as washable or soluble waxing. Exceptions to the waxing notes are that when the fabric strip is pulled back the level of pain isn't so intense, as sugaring only sticks to the hair and not the skin. This method is becoming more popular for both men and women.
It is best to avoid waxing or sugaring after a bath or shower as the skin is more sensitive.
